Ceremony Locale: Portraitsaal, Lucerne

The huge Portraitsaal (portrait hall) in the town hall of Lucerne is probably one of the most impressive if not beautiful wedding-ceremony halls in Switzerland, and also one of the largest. Even the largest wedding parties should fit into the room. The locale is open to weddings on only one day each week and costs a surcharge over a wedding held at the regular locale in Lucerne. Due to it's popularity and limited availability, the ceremony duration is short - unless you book the last ceremony slot before lunch. The entrance to the ceremony room is on the rear (tower-side) of the building and access is by a wide spiral staircase. Website: Lucerne Marriage Registry Office
